The methodology behind the Ebtech team is to create a diverse and experienced pool of knowledge.
We all have our specialist fields, and each member of the team has an important role to play to provide our clients with the service that each and every one of them deserves.
We don't actively look for a new team member to fill a specific post, but create a role to fit the right person. We are always on the lookout for young talent to ensure that we are producing a new generation to fill technical roles which are currently filled by more senior engineers.
If you are interested in joining the energy engineering sector please feel free to give us a call.
Matt has been in the horticultural heating industry for over 30 years, starting as a draughtsman at Wilco Industries in 1990, he has worked his way through the ranks and is the originator of Ebtech and its subsidiaries, and has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience along the way.
Matt is involved on many projects from initial enquiry, through design, project management and into commissioning.
Jonathan joined the company in 2012 and is a renewable energy specialist, with the uncanny ability to number crunch figures in his head and determine the initial viability of a renewable energy installation very quickly.
Not only a sales position, Jonathan will be involved in the development of a project from concept, feasibility, and specification to final design
Steve is a Building Services Design Engineer, holding both a BEng (hons) and an MSc in Building Services Engineering, registered with the Engineering Council UK with over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry working in both consultancy and contracting.
Whilst Steve is involved in the whole process of initial enquiry design, project management and commissioning, his specialist subject is the design and development of heat pump installations and their integration into a range of industries.
Technical Sales Engineer
A key member of our team, Dan is our Technical Sales lead with a diverse knowledge of the heating and cooling industry with a passion for decarbonisation. Dan acts as key account manager for our public and private sector clients, advising them on the possible options best suited to their needs.
Dan has a HND in Building Services Engineering and is currently completing his BEng (hons).
Whilst Jayne looks after the financials of the business and the day to day office management, she is also Matt Blood’s wife, so is way more involved in the business than her job title probably suggests.
Likely to be the friendly voice that answers the phone.
Caroline works alongside Jayne in our busy accounts team, responsible for the sales and purchase ledgers.
Senior Project Manager
Jimmy has a wealth of knowledge in project management and his primary role is to look after the large scale, long term Ebtech projects.
Not only managing these projects, but also liaising with the client throughout to ensure schemes run smoothly and always to the customers satisfaction.
Jimmy is currently studying for an MBA.
Project Manager - Mechanical
Josh will be seen managing projects and manging the on-site engineers and sub-contractors ensuring the whole fabrication and installation process runs smoothly.
As a qualified plumbing and heating engineer, he has a full understanding of what is being installed, and it is not unusual for him to be seen with spanners in his hands when the pressure is on.
M&E Design Manager
Dan has a Master’s Degree in engineering and is IEng registered with CIBSE/ EC UK. Dan's primary role is to lead the design team and take a project from concept to reality.
At the project design stage he is able to provide detailed 3D plant room simulations and walk through demonstrations. This allows clients to see the configuration of their equipment well in advance of the beginning of a construction starting and therefore tailor the design to ensure the facility is built with easy day to day operation in mind.
Senior Design Engineer
Ferry and Matt Blood have worked with each other for in excess of 25 years. Based in Holland, his primary role is the design and procurement of heating systems and has a wealth of design knowledge.
His location is a massive benefit to the company, giving the ability to meet and discuss aspects of projects with the Dutch suppliers, with whom we are often heavily involved.
Dillon is an Apprentice Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer, with his primary role working across Ebtech Design and Build projects and supporting more senior engineers.
Dillon has an ONC in Building Services Engineering and currently working towards his HNC and Eng Tech registration.
Trevor is well-known within the horticultural heating industry. As Matt Blood’s boss many years ago, Trevor has now joined the Ebtech team and is our semi-retired, horticultural heating guru, with many, many years of experience under his belt.
Trevor’s role is to develop the design of the true “horticultural heating” projects as well as design investigation of systems with underlying issues
Karl's past experience in pipe work maintenance, TIG welding and also his extensive knowledge on boilers makes him a perfect fit for Ebtech as he joins the team to assist with the latest project installations.
Sam is one of our on site, “in house” welder fabricators / pipework installation team.
Literally a face behind the mask on site (welding mask), his role is to ensure that installations are made quickly, neatly and safely.
Mat’s primary role within the company is Construction Director of Ebtech Construction, but as many projects overlap between the companies, he is often seen getting involved with the project management on the larger installations on behalf of “Energy”, as well as taking care of the health and safety requirements across all the Ebtech companies.
You will find more about Mat’s background and experience on the Ebtech Construction web site.
